Dry Creek Valley is one of the most interesting and beautiful wine regions in California. There is only one winery with monumental architecture, Ferrari-Carano, and all the rest are medium to small size wineries and tasting rooms. The roads and wineries are rarely crowded.
This valley is known for Zinfandel. It consistently produces outstanding Zins with plenty of nose, body, and lasting finish. It is also known for the highest density of organic and green environmental techniques.
There are excellent lodging and dining opportunities in Healdsburg. Less expensive lodging is in Santa Rosa. Windsor has some traveler services. Nearby Geyserville and Cloverdale are great for a more laid-back experience.

There are two off-the-beaten-track wineries in this narrow valley:
A special ambiance for long quiet conversations and enjoying love. Usually we have a secluded outdoor scene in mind.

Barrel Tasting is not a food or themed event. It's all about the WINE...many wineries offer "futures" on their barrel samples. This is a chance to purchase wine now, often at a discount, then come back to the winery when the wine is bottled, typically 12-18 months from…
We have hundreds of winery interview videos in winery profiles. We shoot these at winery events because that is the cheapest way to gather content. It would be nice to go to each tasting room but this gets very expensive quickly. See our Compare Winery Features search engine for which wineries have videos in your target region.
We are adding our Discover California Wine Regions videos to the Recommended Wineries by Region pages.
