    • Explore the Santa Cruz Moutains wineries

    The wineries in the Santa Cruz Mountains Wine Region are rather dispersed over a large area and along narrow, and sometimes steep, scenic mountain roads. The wineries are all small and intimate. It is not uncommon to have the tasting room to yourself even on a weekend. The views from the ridge wineries overlooking Silicon Valley or the Monterey Bay are fantastic! Other wineries are nestled in the redwood forest.

    Our Suggested Santa Cruz Mountains Wineries

    There are some visitor services along Highway 9 north of Santa Cruz but most visitors base their mountain winery adventures in the South San Francisco Bay Area or beach town of Santa Cruz. Drivers should be extra sober on these roads!
