    • Explore the Carneros wineries

    The Carneros Wine Region is south of the Napa and Sonoma Valleys and just north of the San Francisco Bay. The wineries are in both Napa County and Sonoma County. While the Carneros is the gateway to the Napa and Sonoma Valleys for most visitors it seems rarely explored. Just watch the traffic and see how few cars stop here on their hectic rush north into the valleys. Is the Carneros worth a few days exploring? YES! And you will want to return.

    Visitor services are in the little historic town of Sonoma or in Napa which has far more traveler services. Also consider Santa Rosa and Petaluma.
