The Paso Robles Wine Region seems to be exploding with wineries. You would think that its distance from population centers and important airports would give the Paso Robles area a severe competitive disadvantage. Not so at all. This scenic area with hilly terrain has almost as many winery tasting rooms that are regularly open to the public as the Napa Valley! If you want to escape the crowds and higher prices of other areas then plan your next trip to Paso! There are adequate visitor services in the small town of Paso Robles and a few more motels are in the little towns scattered to the south along Highway 101 and on the coast.
