Murphys Calaveras County GPS winery map

The Murphys Wine Region in Calaveras County is a terrific wine questing experience! The wineries are diverse, interesting, friendly, and rather close together. No other region has the "twisted" humor of the Rubber Chicken National Forest or a tasting room in a 1950's era bomb shelter in the mountains. There are about a dozen tasting rooms in the town of Murphys that you could spend days exploring. Visitor services are in Murphys, Angels Camp (Angels City on Google Maps for some reason), and Altaville. This is California Gold Country so explore the quaint towns in the region or the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the east.
