The Lodi Wine Region in California's Central Valley is a bit of a sleeper. California wine tasters are more familiar with the ambiance of the narrow valleys and hills of the coastal regions than the wide open flat of this huge valley. While the Lodi Wine Region's reputation is still a bit impacted with past associations with bulk wines of marginal taste there has been a wonderful explosion of wine creativity and winery experiences here. The wines are good, the people are warm and inviting, the crowds are few even on event weekends, and there is a diverse selection of winery experiences awaiting you. One of the Lodi wineries is home to one of California's two winery tortoises. For information about the wineries and what they are offering you please visit our Quester Network section.
